MISSION
The Feminist Health Fund provides financial assistance for healthcare needs to women living in Greene County, Ohio and adjacent counties during times of financial hardship.
VISION
To provide equal access to health until health is no longer a commodity.
DIRECT MEDICAL FUNDING
Direct medical funding is the core of the FHF mission. Contributing to this initiative means your money goes directly to current or future applicants medical expenses. Past medical funding has included things like dental assistance, hearing aids, emergency surgeries, prescription purchases and alternative treatments not covered under medical insurance.
The Domestic Violence Network was born out of an ongoing request from community members who were living in unsafe situations. The DVN aims to provide temporary & discreet assistance to women who need to immediately leave a dangerous situation. Contributions to this initiative mean you’re helping cover emergency costs like short term lodging or transportation to a safe space.
OUR WORK
Over 90% of the donations we receive are from individuals in our community. Donations range from a few dollars to a few thousand. All our work is done by volunteers so your contribution will go directly to offering support to women in times of need.
PARTNER PROJECTS
Funding for this initiative helps pay for community based partner projects like providing feminine hygiene products to local schools and body work for trauma survivors in local women’s shelters.
